Organized by the the Messolonghi Nautical Club under the aegis of the Hellenic Sailing Federation, this event is set to take place in the picturesque town of Messolonghi.
We extend a warm welcome to all our visitors as we embark on this inaugural international regatta, a tribute to the fallen heroes of one of the greatest naval battles in world history, the Battle of Lepanto.
It is a sailing event open to everyone who wants to be part of a great historical event. You can participate with any type of sailing boat.
The highlight of the event lies in the race itself, happening in the exact same location, where the Christian and Ottoman fleets clashed in October 1571.
“SYMMACHIA“, a local cultural organization, has spotlighted this location and holds annual commemorative ceremonies with the participation of Messolonghi Nautical Club.
Every participant must read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
Sailing boats and wreaths for the delegations, free berthing for all, beverages and buffet dinner on Friday evening, beach party at Porto Skrofa on Saturday evening, chartered buses, awards, Honorary Certificates, support boats, buffet dinner and entertainment on Sunday.
Participants need to arrange for:
Registration, entry fee €250 per boat, dinner at Porto Skrofa and off boat accommodation, if they wish, after dinner at Porto Skrofa (ask organizers for help).
